I love Pilates reformer classes, but they are so expensive. This product costs less than 10 classes. It comes with a video that helps beginners use the equipment and a workout video. It was easy to put together, very little that needed to be done. It folds up easily and fits under my bed, this is the reason that I purchased this model. This feature made my husband happy. I use it regularly. Pilates on the reformer offers no/low impact and great strengthening of the core. There is a natural flow, very much like yoga. I have had the product for 3 weeks and it seems very durable. I also purchased the rebounder which provides a great heart pumping work out. This model has 3 cords instead of 4, but it looks like stonger cords can be added. The platform body is not very wide, not a problem for me, but should be checked to see if it will work for you. I give this 5 stars. I love it!

I bought this to use at my Mother-in-law,s house where I am staying for the summer. I just couldn't be without Plates. I have a model 695 at home that I have used for several years. The main difference is that this only has three cord. I've never used more than three on the 695 so this is fine for me, but then I am a senior, not a power user. Also, you can buy a double strength cord if you need more resistance. Another difference is the lack of elevated pulleys. I know this won't be a problem as I had a model without them 12 years ago and that was fine with me. Other differences with the upscale 695 are less padding, narrower frame and, non-trapezoid platform. None of these are a problem. It also does not have the nice fuzzy grips. This is maybe the most noticeable difference but still not a problem. This machine gives me much the same experience of the more expensive model and is totally adequate as a machine for a second location. Eventually, I will take it home and my wife and I... Read more

3.0 out of 5 stars cheap plastic hooks that are designed to snap easily, June 16, 2016

I purchased this back in March before I moved and just opened the box- only to find that some of the pieces were already broken! The top part of the hook that gauges the length of the reformer strap had snapped before I took it out of the bag. Upon further inspection the hooks are made of a cheap plastic and it would not be surprising if the hook snapped during use, it seems to be designed to do exactly that. Unfortunately I did not open the box until after my return date expired- make sure to open and inspect yours upon receipt to save yourself some grief.

Other than that, the machine itself seems to perform adequately but it's certainly not the best pilates reformer around.
